KAEE’s 2012 Outdoor Photography Contest

Open to all photographers who have submitted a complete registration form and entrance fee.  If under 18, a signed permission form from a parent or legal guardian must be included.  Contest Judges will be excluded from the contest.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category.  An overall grand prize winner will also be selected.  Winning photographs will be displayed on the KAEE website.  

Grand Prize: $150 Cash

What To Enter

Photographs will be judged in the following 3 categories:
 
1. Nature, Landscapes and Wildlife 
2. Kentucky Nature, Landscapes and Wildlife
3. Environmental Education in Action 
*Only digital submissions will be accepted
*Manipulation of images should be limited to conventional darkroom techniques or basic sharpening, cropping and removal of dust spots. Images should contain only the original subject matter as seen through the viewfinder.
An entrant must hold all rights to a photograph. Photos previously published or pending publication or that violate or infringe upon another person’s copyright, are not eligible.
 
How To Enter

Entrants may submit a maximum of five (5) photos per category.

Submission Fee

$5 per submission for KAEE members

$10 per submission for non-members

Contest closes on August 31, 2012.

First, second, and third places will be chosen from each category. The Grand Prize winner will be picked from the 1st place winners.  Judging will take place during August.  Winners will be announced at the KAEE conference at the Lake Cumberland State Park on September 14-15, 2012.  You do not have to be present to win.

By entering the KAEE Photo Contest entrants agree that if their submission is selected as a winner, they grant KAEE the right to display their photograph(s). Exhibition of entries will include photographer credit. Photographers retain ownership of all copyrights. However, by submitting an image for entry in this contest, you automatically shall and hereby do give KAEE a non-exclusive, not-transferable, license without charge to reproduce and display the image in any electronic, optical, physical, or other medium, to modify its size and resolution, and to use your name as the photographer, indefinitely in any media without notification or compensation.  These photos will not be used for monetary gain.
